They need someone that's reliable and responsible. The upkeep of a building is a big job, after all. Here's how to write a custodian resume that will guarantee a callback.

Here’s what a recruiter is looking for in a Custodian resume
- The right resume sections: Your resume should include a header, summary, experience, skills, and education section.
- Relevant experience: Recruiters look for experience in cleaning, stocking, sanitizing, and securing buildings. Be as specific as possible in your experience section.
- Building maintenance: Ability to make minor repairs, fix broken switches, manage leaks, and do routine maintenance checks.
- Lift heavy objects: Custodian and janitorial work often require heavy lifting. Recruiters want to know you're able to safely lift and transport heavy objects.
- Machine operating: Operating industrial cleaning equipment is increasingly common for custodians. From floor buffers to adaptive stick vacuums, any previous experience sets you apart.
