Dear Hiring Manager,
I would like to express my interest in applying for the Contract Specialist position, which I found through the UMCP site. With decades of experience in logistics and contracting with a specialization in construction industries, I handle everything from basic procurement to inventory management and customer service with professionalism and courtesy.
I have been at my current job for 24 years, demonstrating my loyalty, trustworthiness, and ability. In my time I have learned the great value in intangibles such as building rapport with coworkers and customers to foster a friendly and uplifting work environment.
My experience gained while working for a small business has given me the immeasurably valuable tool of being able to adapt to any situation. There is no IT department, no shipping / receiving department, not even housekeeping. When there's a problem, I don't have the luxury of farming it out to someone else. I have to solve it. I'm eager to develop new skills when new challenges present themselves and apply previous knowledge in new ways.
Thank you for considering my application and I would appreciate the opportunity to continue this conversation further at an interview.
Respectfully,
Earnest Hendrix
