I am writing to apply for the position of General Manager, Customer Service.
I have had a long career with a global equipment manufacturer that has seen me conquer roles in both the manufacturing and sales side of the business. I have had direct experience managing a large distribution network (both in Sales and Aftersales), as well as leading a large team of highly technical individuals that support the end customer with technical/mechanical product and fixes.
I have been in Senior Management roles since 2013, predominantly in the Aftersales space. My experience has always skewed toward managing performance and strategic development. However, it has been the times when I have had the opportunity to build diverse teams around a common customer-centric vision that I felt truly alive.
I am at home managing strategic direction across multiple business units and am currently leading strategic business development across 8 countries that provide $1.1B revenue collectively.
I have had direct responsibility for all the after sales functions you mention including customer relations, technical training, technical support, product recalls, workshops, warehousing, and assembly operations.
I have successfully managed all aspects of budget performance, customer and dealer feedback, safety culture & performance, and logistical/environmental considerations.
I believe that working with your team would draw on my operational excellence and provide the opportunity for me to continue as a value-based leader; creating an environment that allows people to feel empowered to deliver outstanding customer results and tackle improvement programs.
